About the Event

The South African Tissue Bank Association (SATiBA) will host its second International bi-annual Conference on 5 & 6 October 2017 in the beautiful city of Pretoria, at the African Pride, Irene Country Lodge. The event will feature outstanding international and local speakers, with the focus on donor evaluation; consent & conversion rates; cultural diversity; and hospital development.

This conference will be an opportunity for professionals involved in tissue and cell banking for transplantation in the whole of Africa, but also from other parts of the world, to get together, learn from each other and exchange information. The information and data presented will provide all participants with guidance and insight into technological advances internationally.

About the Venue

Because of its convenient and central location, it was decided to host the event at The Irene Country Lodge as was done for the first SATiBA Conference. The venue offers luxury accommodation and outstanding conference facilities in the heart of Gauteng, South Africa's economic capital. Known for its long and winding oak-lined country lane where cows can be seen grazing in green pastures, this haven of peace and tranquillity is the ideal venue for creative thinking and networking.

With lakeside views to rival most paintings, African Pride Irene Country Lodge this upmarket hotel is conveniently situated between Midrand and Pretoria, ensuring travel to and from the OR Tambo International airport is quick and easy. Just as convenient, is the Centurion Gautrain station situated at the Centurion Shopping Centre, a mere 5 minute drive away.
